As an Esthetician you can exercise your creative abilities in a stable career that rewards talent and creativity. How about a career where you travel frequently and demonstrate the latest cosmetic products to audiences around the country? Other career opportunities include Beauty Advisor at a make-up counter, Cosmetic Buyer, Beauty Consultant, Platform Artist, Assistant to Dermatologist or Cosmetic Surgeon, Representative for a Cosmetic Line or Manufacturer, Make-Up Artist for the entertainment industry, or even your own Line of Cosmetics. When you complete your training and acquire the license to practice as an esthetician, exciting and unlimited opportunities await!
Students will have breakthrough knowledge of the skin and all its elements including but not limited to structure and its functions, as well as the proper procedures behind the use of certain skin care treatments. This curriculum will also train students in the latest treatments of spa therapies. The curriculum will also cover subjects such as understanding the skin, sterilization and sanitation, mask and spa therapy, facials, body wraps, exfoliating peels, relaxation treatments, stress recovery, waxing and massage of the neck and face, use of galvanic current machines, high frequency machines, facial steaming, body scrubs and polishes, state laws, and opening a day spa.
The Facial/Esthetical course is 750 clock hours in length, which can be completed in as little as six months of full time attendance.
